Wednesday, Jerash Governor, Nayef Al-Hedayat, denied the authenticity of claims that said an explosion occurred in the oxygen tanks at Jerash Governmental Hospital.

Hedayat said in a statement to Roya, that the hospital dealt with an alert in one of the reserve oxygen tanks, indicating that the alert was issued because the tank was filled with oxygen and there was a drop in outside temperatures, which led to a high oxygen pressure in the safety valve.

He pointed out that the alert was dealt with and the amount of oxygen inside the tank was reduced.

Hedayat confirmed that the hospital is operating normally as usual, and that the alert was dealt with directly, reiterating that there was no significant damage.
